The southern spanish town Conil de la Frontera belongs to the province of Cádiz and is located between Cádiz and Gibraltar on the atlantic coast of the Costa de la Luz, the "Coast of Light". Conil has approximately 22,000 inhabitants. In the summer, up to 80,000 tourists are visiting this "white village" belonging to the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos, the route of the white villages.

 

Conil used to live mainly from fishing and agriculture in the past. Today the atmosphere of the city is extremely international and mainly characterized by tourism. Ten well-maintained 18-hole golf-courses are situated nearby.
